Low prod week
but not a no prod week
Tough to have a truly productive week when you’re ill and travelling around a lot but luckily my energy levels weren’t too badly affected, so still managed to get lots of editing done and a few other bits.
Finally got around to watching A24’s Civil War too, on my list for a while. Was not disappointed.
Had a lush meal at a place in Guildford, which at the time I thought was a cute little independent but have since learnt it’s a chain and as they’re not vegan I won’t bother telling you the name. The char-grill on the oyster mushrooms really made this dish and look how pretty it is 🥰
Was lovely to spend some time with Mum and her partner, even though I was careful to self isolate and eat at a distance when meal times came around.
It wasn’t Covid, I did test. Just a bog standard cold, but I was adamant I wouldn’t be passing it to anyone.
Cooking Course
Found and charged up my GoPros so now I’m ready to give filming cooking another go. Will only use the iPhones for handheld shots so their storage doesn’t fill up before syncing to the cloud. Expecting issues with batteries and micro SD cards and probably other things, but this idea is giving me hope I can do enough, without having to buy more cameras.
Taking Over VT Jiu Jitsu
We’ve been discussing a few things regarding how we’ll be marketing the gym once we take over and it’s getting to be a more exciting prospect as time goes on.
At first it was more like an inconvenient necessity to retain the gym we all train in several times a week but as the three of us chat more about various aspects, the reality is that we’re all quite keen to make a really good go of it and see what we can build in the time we have.
Being cautious about how much to reveal at this stage as we still have several months to go.
The Grapple Travel Show
Tidying up the very last bits of the edit now and hoping to get the episode uploaded this coming week. Can’t believe it’s been over a year and a half since I uploaded the last one.
Bus Conversion
Haven’t managed to do much physical work as I was away most of the week but did manage to work out what I think will be a cool feature at the back of the bus.
The boot was originally going to flip up, like most car boots do, to reveal a pull out table, an idea I had that I did not have a clue how to engineer.
Instead I’m going to have the boot flip down and BE THE TABLE!!!!! It will be easier to explain once I’ve made it and can show photos. So this week I’ve been buying all the bits and pieces I need and will hopefully get around to fitting it all this week.
Next Week…
Work on the bus boot.
Finish the Barcelona episode of TGTS.
Plan what to teach at the camp in Munich.
Start making stickers to take to the camp.
Hope you found many things to distract you from world doom this week and you kept your tiny corner of the planet fun and interesting.
Subscriptions are a lot to ask (eternally grateful to the few I have) but if you fancy making a one time donation, however small, you can do that with this button 😊🙏
