Might Be Overdoing It
At least that's what my body is telling me
Training this week has absolutely battered my hips, legs and back. Feel achey and fragile all over. Shame as I was feeling pretty damn good recently. Hoping I just need one really good nights sleep and it’ll all go away.
Nine hour shift at work today did not help.
Created some CHILL magnets for the time blocker. Was expecting too much of myself late at night. I do often edit happily into the night if I’m in the zone but just like most other humans, I’m better able to focus in the morning and if I’m not out working I’m on the bus in the afternoons. So new plan is editing and writing in the mornings, bus in the afternoons / early evenings and whatever I can manage in the late evenings but with a bit more chill time.
Bus Conversion
Also because the weather is so hot I’m trying to get as much bus stuff done as possible, even working on it some mornings too. I’m happy things there are progressing nicely, though drilling more holes in metal box section has probably contributed to my aches and pains.
The detachable and extendable legs arrived for the boot table and look good but are slightly too short so I’ll have to fix the bottom part to a nice block of wood at some point.
In the middle of putting the left wheel arch back on as the mechanic doesn’t seem to use that side for access so no point leaving it off, like the right side. Required some fibre glassing, which always make me feel like a mad scientist as I weigh it out, add the hardener and stir it up.
The ratchet straps and webbing that hold the tent down in windy weather have degraded in the sun over the last year and tore apart. Bought some more and replaced them, which required much clipping of bramble bushes and nettles to get to the embedded posts and hook on the new straps. No way could I have done it in trousers due to the heat but now my legs are pretty scratched up 😆

Such a massive relief to get it out finally.
Cooking Course
Working on the script and happy with the footage, which is one less thing to worry about.
The CCM guys are doing a free intensive sprint for all subscribers and it starts Monday. I’ve been warned only about 50% will apply to me as I’m already running a live course but I’m going to try to make as many sessions as possible over the next two weeks.
Jiu Jitsu
Some good sessions this week but very hip heavy and now I’m suffering.
Want to test out games on my teammate who’s coming with me in June but she’s been away in Ireland this week. Hopefully she’s back this week, only have four weeks to go!
Next Week…
A week of rain apparently so probably won’t get so much done on the bus, depends how windy it is. Will focus on editing and Jiu Jitsu stuff instead.
